SMOKIN BARREL FEST 2026: THE LOWDOWN
Smokin Barrel Fest 2026 – Judge Info
Fire up your taste buds, not your pits — this one’s just for the judging crew. Smokin Barrel Fest 2026 is locking in a weekend of serious BBQ business at Burnt Barrel, and judges are front and centre for every juicy bite.
The Joint
Burnt Barrel has been slingin’ proper Kansas City–style low-and-slow BBQ out in Nanson, Mid West WA, for years. Set on an old winery site surrounded by rolling paddocks, hills and the odd roo, it’s got that relaxed country pub feel with plenty of smoke in the air.
You’re here to taste the best BBQ teams can throw down, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy a few cold ones once the scorecards are done.
Stay The Weekend
Judges camp for free on site, so you can roll in, set up and stay close to all the action. Bring your own power and camping setup — we’ll take care of the land, loos and showers so you’re comfortable between judging rounds.
If you’d rather a proper mattress and air-con, there are plenty of options in Chapman Valley and nearby Geraldton, from farm stays to hotels, motels and pubs.
When You’re Off Duty
When you’re not on the judging table, you can kick back at Burnt Barrel, wander the property or head out to explore Chapman Valley and the coast. Think scenic drives, lookouts, trails and that easy country-town pace.
Make a weekend of it — arrive early, leave late and treat it like a BBQ-fuelled mini getaway.
